G&E began operations in the year 2000, with the objective of developing investments in Distributed Generation and under the PPA or sale of services model, freeing the client from the investment outside of its core business. 

 

The first PPA contract obtained was with the cement company El Puente, part of the SOBOCE group, where a 2MW plant was implemented and later expanded to 7 MW. Later, the plants were developed in Camargo isolated system (1 MW), at PIL ANDINA dairy plant, which is part of the Peruvian group GLORIA (7 MW) and at ITACAMBA cement plant, part of the Brazilian group VOTORANTIM (19 MW). All the Plants are owned by G&E and the self-generation service is provided for customers on a 24/7 basis.

 

In 2005, the company CNG S.A. which was formed in 1992, was acquired in order to develop investments in NGV stations. To date, we have 11 stations in Bolivia and 3 in Peru.  

 

In 2009, the company entered the Peruvian market buying part of a local firm. Then in 2011, it signed CNG supply contracts with the largest players in the Peruvian poultry industry, maintaining operations to date and supply contracts until 2025. 

 

The company's investment plan is to enter the market for renewable energy and other value-added services that allow us to transcend local markets and traditional trade mechanisms, keeping as its focus the efficient and sustainable use of energy and other resources scarce as a mechanism to add value or reduce costs.
